It's been a long time since I've last indulged in some Eva.  Even though I do believe it to probably be Gainax's best property.  Maybe this is what's needed to draw people like me back to it.  I might give it a shot.

Nah. My friend said the same thing, and I'll say the same thing to you I said to him.

It would be interesting for a while...but then the novelty would wear off. Not to mention the hardcore eva fans (of which there are about a million) would do the whole fires & pitchforks thing. Toasty Rei worked for a short clip simply for the stark contrast with the rest of the series, but to base a whole series off of it? Nah. She's gotta be cold emotionless Rei, or its just not eva, ya know?

I DO enjoy the AU Rei, she's a lot of fun.

Besides with the fact that the AU manga has spawned 4 graphic novels and counting...I think your statement isn't necessairly the most accurate.

Although it probably WOULD be too much to have her acting uber perky.

I think I'll buy a Chibi Rei and Chibi EVA Unit 00 or EVA Unit 01
