Costume help please!

hi everyone. My friend is planning to goto Fanime is RYUK from Deathnote....

where do you think we can purchase stuff for Ryuk and cheap?..
and liek i dont think he's wearing a mask i think he's just painting his face white lol..can anyone tell me wheter he should give up this idea or just go as a crappy ryuk? x[

This is a photo shoot from someone on my LJ Death Note group. About half way down they have a Ryuk that is done very basically, but looks awesome. Looks like basic clothing and make-up; you might try something similar.
