Yoshi

I was thinking about doing a yoshi cosume, but I started to doubt myself because god this Yoshi I'm talking about! I drew a little concept how someone could fit in it, then I said to myself "How the HELL am I gonna get this damn thing together and keep it shaped good? Damn I would like need to make most of the costume's shape like how ppl make a piniata's shpae, using some sort of tough wire so it won't bend, but then that'll be too hard to shape and it'll be too expensive to buy the wire. So I don't know if ANYONE has any ideas to make this costume cheaper, easier, and most important of all: more likely to actually look good.

This might sound a little strange, but look at Furries and how they build their Fursuits. That will give you alot of basic starting points as to the construction of not just the head but also the rest of the body mainly the tail.

Also, I'm not sure how comfy you might be around Furries in general, but you might want to check out the upcoming Furry Convention this January, Further Confusion.

Go there and normally they should have panels on tips on construction of Fur-Suits and other important things.

My suggestion is dont go as lone yoshi, be a yoshi and mario couple! XD

have it something like that where your head and upper body is possibly mario and your lower body is yoshi. that way its a complete illusion! :P

That is pretty inventive, but I bet it's pretty costly as well.  Hope your idea pulls through!  If not, you can always have someone commission you one.  I can recommend you to this person maybe for help:

thanks for the tips guys but I don't think I'll be doing Yoshi anytime soon, so don't be expecting a Yoshi cosplay from me within a few years.
