Quick Question

Hi guys, hope everything is well as we near the big day(s)! :)

Well, I had a quick question, perhaps someone could be of assistance. Well come May I (and my friends) will be cosplaying U.B.C.S (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service - Resident Evil-) members with a few tweaks to the wardrobe. Now, everything is going great, nice and smooth with only a few details to iron out..but one question remains.  We want some sort of gun or rifle replicas to compliment our wardrobe, the only problem is that it can't look alarming..or too realistic.  Last year I saw plenty with makeshift or plastic guns which were peace bonded (the makeshifts seemed free to wield, however).  I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to any sort of item that can be used as such? I'm trying to make sure if I have something on me, it looks fake enough not to be an issue I guess..so I don't have to go through that whole issue again as me and the others did last year.  Many thanks in advance, take care!
