I doubt I'll see a copy of it at Fanime though. but there could be a small chance.
So I'm still debating if I should just buy a copy online now or wait until after Fanime.

The release date says May 21, 2008 (In Japan), so it should be out now. I pre-ordered it already here:

Yeah, watched the first ep a while ago. Music is good (not Kajiura's best, but solid; and "oblivious" is amazing), animation is very high quality, story is interesting but just barely getting started.
