People have to rely on some Japanese related con to get J-rockers :3

It wasn't him cancelling. I thought everyone was aware of the e-mail that PSCompany actually said regarding him. And the fact he's not indies anymore is probably going to be hard.

And eh. Not like I don't like how Alice Nine looks, I don't like their sound. :<
(Just like I almost don't like every other PSCompany band because they aren't bands that get contracted -they're individuals that get smooshed together to form a band -kinda like the pop singing groups)

you know I kinda noticed everyone's suggesting JRockers/Jpoppers I don't see why no one has suggested anyone who isn't of that genre but still does anime songs or has a link to anime.

should be invited. not only is he heavily involved in the anime world, as he's done many voices, but he's known to go to any con he's invited to! Plus, he has a band that could perform at the Musicfest called Eyeshine. They're right in California to my knowledge so it would be great..I know alot of people that would be happy to see him!

Well perhaps one of the most contraversial characters was on the show last weekend- Haku. I thought they did an -ok- job of dubbing him, though I must say there's nothing in comparison to the raw.  They didn't alter Haku and turn him into a she (as Kakashi refers to him as a he). It is most obvious that the VA is a female (and if it isn't I apologize for the assumption).
Over all, with Naruto as an old lady, mispronounciations galore and odd songs for openign and closings, the dub isn't up to par so far.

(BTW, anyone notice that they took Wind out when Wind is actually in english? I thought they could have kept Wind at least..)

They did keep the names and for that I am grateful, but so help me god, if Gaara is a nasaly voiced otaku I will cry my eyes out.

WEll I kind have a three way tie here for different reasons...

1- I would LOVE to be in the world of Inuyasha. (I know newb answer) But come on..everything's more healthy back then and though there are demons, being able to breathe fresh air and spot furry little creatres/humans would be the best... I wouldn't necessarily want to be in the gang with Inuyasha..i would think hanging out with Kouga would be mroe fun...

2- Most definately the world of Nightwalker. Vampires..darkbreeds...Goony..LOL...just the best. Then again with my luck I'd be a filler character who gets killed and posessed..

3- The world of Naruto. My goal? To meet Genma or bitchslap Hinata. Oh and being able to run at the speed of light without acting like a narutard (and failing).

This would be my first cosplay, but my 2nd Fanime, and I can only think of 2 characters:

Roy Mustang (FMA)
Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)

Why not go down to your local fabric store and ask for a list of people to sew it for you? If you can find a decent seamstriss it won't cost you that much, were as buying costumes on line they aren't fitted exactly to you..

1Well yeah.....friends totally ditched myself and one other at the artist row all day with their stuff (and trust me they had alot of it) so even if we wanted to shut down and leave, we couldn't...

2 Got yelled at by same friends with my afforementioned stranded friend for being 'screeching fangirls' during the Masq. Apparently we had high pitched screaming that gave them a headache?

3 Someone tore the sleeve on my Kagura (Frutis Basket) outfit and I had to pin it for the rest of the time I was there

4 Scary otaku 30 year olds followed two of us out of the Live Action PGSM showings and we had to hide in the bathroom..

5 Someone bought the tarepanda plushie I wanted.

6 Not enough money to buy the out of print Sailor Moon Season 1 boxset along with the season 2 I already own..(I'm lame I know)

and yeah...over all..the worst..

7 Scary guy outside the convention center made us talk to his parents on the phone...he was creepy and it was as late as it could get and we were supposed to convince his parents to let him stay....T_T

I attended this the first year (last year) and they aren't positive (*is on the mailing list for them* ) but they will most liking be having the next one during the same time it was in 2003. But i'm not for sure on it..
