Square-Enix
Capcom
DDR Company? Bemani I think?
People I'd LOVE to see (but is unlikely):
Nobuo Uematsu
Keiji Inafune (Creator of Megaman)
Yoshinori Kitase or another Final Fantasy Director (Kitase did VIII)
I'd love to see Matt Greenfield come down and do an ADV panel. When I saw him at JTAF a couple years ago he was really friendly and told us about a lot of cool stuff.
So yeah, Matt Greenfield doing an ADV panel.
Right now I can't think of any anime or manga people...but those are my suggestions for the moment.
Quote from: "FanFicGuru"2) Badge removal for threats. Especially in the E-gaming room this year I guess there were a number of threats against people who won. Threats of actual physical harm. There should be a zero tolerance policy for stuff like that. Just because someone beat you at a game does not mean you get to threaten to beat them up or hurt them later on. Inexcusable. I really think this should be addressed next year as well.
Quote from: "Lisu"Not re-reading the previous posts...but was the biggest issue time or legal ness?
If time, then I'd think now is a good time for those who were really interested and wanted to do it for the next year.
My outlook with what could be in a different topic would be not so much as a bar, but a cafe. Very anime-esque related subject and easily applicable to the con (maid cafe...hmm).
Bar, cafe, energy drinks, just drinks...all I want to see is if anyone is up to anything.
Quote from: "Bullhonkie"Exactly. I could understand an entry fee if the machines were free-play, but at 50 cents a pop - which is already pricy as far as fighting games go - that's a bit ridiculous.
Although it was kind of moot anyway because it got so lax from Saturday onwards that I never even had to show a badge to get in the room. There were also so many other doors leading into that room - I saw people coming and going from those all the time. So in retrospect I didn't mind as much that it was all shoved into one room, but I would've liked to see all that room better used by spacing the machines further apart.
Quote from: "100% BEEF"I loved the import copy of Samurai Spirits. My only real complaint was that there was no console #Reload or GGXX. When I asked the staffers about it they responded with, "We won't set up one since there is a Slash arcade already over there." I offered to provide the game and PS2 for one of the tvs nobady was swarming but they refused the offer, lame. :x
Quote from: "Eurobeat King"Thanks to everyone who purchased stuff from me on either or both evenings for the Swap Meet. :) I hope you're pleased with your purchase(s.) Thanks to you all I'm able to use the $$ towards AX, San Diego Comic Con, and Otakon. ;)
I was amazed that they used both walls along the side of the entire Exhibit Hall 3 for the Swap Meet! Did they manage to fit EVERYONE who lined up/showed up for it?? The time change (those were there on Thursday knew about the 8pm time but the program guide still said 6pm) kept me in one spot for a few hours (which I could've used to take pics of cosplayers) but I still had a good spot for Friday's swap meet. :)
