I will post a link of some of the pictures that my friend took of the meet up, but it might take him some time to get to them because he took over 4000 pictures at fanime. Btw, I was the dual wielding Kirito at the meet up.

Just an idea:

Since speed dating has become so popular that the demand is about 4 time greater than the supply of seat. Would it be possible to create a singles mixer? Attendants would still have to sign up, receive a time slot, and show their id to prove that they are 18 years old to attend this event. This would allow more people to participate in the event and still have the assurance that they are talking to someone that is 18 and looking to find someone.

That is only really the case in males, most females got in.

If a mixer were done in the same way, you'd basically have about 4:1 ratio of dudes to ladies.

JUSSSSSSSSSSSSS Sayin.

I still saw about 5-10 females that were turned away during one of the event.

True, a mixer would most likely have a higher males to females ratio, but the event coordinators could cap it off once the event hit a ratio of (X) male to (X) females. The ratio would not be any different than a normal club on a Friday night. You also know that they like anime to some extent which is rare to find in every day encounters (at least for me). A mixer would change the dynamics of the event to where people will have to uses their social skills to start conversations will people. I think this type of format would have a greater chance for Fanime attendees (depending on how large the room is) to participate in this type of event than a speed dating room with 20 male and female participants.

Maybe they could have both mixers and speed dating for Fanime to relieve some of the demand from this event.

Hello everyone,

I posted this before, but I added more to the story and felt justified in reposting.

I am looking for an asian? girl was wearing a Loltia/maid dress black/white? and a light colored shawl. On Sunday Night, around 9pm, she came up to me when I was walking through the park and ask where the black and white ball was located. I told her that she should follow me because I was going the same way. We had a small conversation about ballroom dancing, and I felt that I had chemistry with her. I was going to ask more about herself, but she was stopped by Black and White Ball Fanime staff saying that your dress was 2in too short and she was not allowed to come in. I wish I left the building with her and got to know her better, but my lack of sleep/foresight prevented me from seeing this opportunity. Five minutes later, I realized my mistake, but she was long gone and I never saw her again.

My biggest regret for Fanime 2012 was not talking to this girl and I have been kicking myself ever since Sunday. If you know a girl like this, could you show/tell her about this post. I was wearing black shoes, black slacks, and a button short sleeve black shirt. I am 6ft 3in tall and half Asian/half white.

I know that it is a slim chance that I might find her on the internet, but it the only route that is open to me. If this post does get to you, could you PM me?

Thank you

To the girl that asked me directions to the Black and White Ball that was wearing a Loltia dress on Sunday Night.

I wish I was able to talk to you longer. I though that we would be able to get to know each other at the dance, but you were stopped by Black and White Ball Fanime staff saying that your dress was 2in too short and you were not able to come in. I should have walked out of the ball and spent the evening with you, but I thought about it too late.

I hope you see this message and would be willing to pm me. It would be great to chat with you again.

Sorry for all the people who waited for this panel. The Fanime Tec crew/Fanime Panels and workshops had problems opening and setting up the room since it was the Karaoke room the night before. The panel started 45 min late due to Fanime communication error.

For the 14 people who were able to attend this panel, I thank you. I will be doing this panel next year in its entirety.
