Is anyone else crazy excited about Fanime 2008? I'm sooooooooo looking forward to it, if only because of the guest! Yeah, I'm talking about the one from the Guess the Guest contest. I figured out who it was before Fanime even put up any of their clues. .^^;; Anyway, I say THANK YOU to the Fanime (and Yaoi-Con) staff who organized this. So excited~~

well uh...lately i have been looking at some pictures from last fanime and now that the forums are up I am now even more excited. I've been having weird dreams about fanime too. Like how I'm at the convention without my costume and feeling really stressed because i didnt bring one.
Has anyone else having similar dreams?

We're actually looking at our options as to how to pick the 2nd winners. The obvious choice is to just randomly pick someone that pre-registered, but we're still trying to figure out options. =)

i'm already working on my cosplay for 08. it's going to be my third year going, and my first in cosplay. i pre-registered as soon as i saw it on the site.

I've had plenty of those dreams whenever it's a few months before fanime. I mostly have ones where I have no money with me or anything for that matter ready, and I realize this right when I'm at the con. Those really shake me. I had a really bad one where fanime was being held at some crappy place. XD
I'm also super excited because I'm getting a sewing machine in Jan which means I can sew again! Now to plan a cosplay that I can make in 5 months... ???
I'm excited about Fanime. But that's probably because it'll be my first time attending. Been wanting to go for some time, but couldn't because of work.
Me and my fellow ani-nerd friends are planning to hit Fanime this year--it'll be my first time, seeing as I moved from Hawaii and there is no anime con on the island I was on. We're hellbent on getting the moolah to make cosplay costumes, transport ourselves over to San Jose, and still have enough to waste at the dealers tables.
Food? Bah. Doujinshi is more important!
If I can work overtime enough and make enough money I'll be attending the upcoming Fanime. It will be my very first Fanime but my third convention all together. I really can't wait!! ^__^

I'm so excited, but none of my friends are into anime so I've been blabbering to them about how awesome it's gonna be and they're just like "O___o; You're a geek, but we love you. Haha. I figured it out after Y-Con put up their bonus clue, and then I knew 100% I was correct after Fanime finally put up their clues. The radio show one really sealed it for me. (The clue about 24 threw me off for a while until I had a Japanese friend confirm because he's not listed anywhere on places like Wiki JP ver.) The later clues are so EASY and now they're just a dead giveaway! X.DDD Anyway, I wanna know who's gonna win too! *crosses fingers* Come to the Seiyuu Panel at Y-Con~ I'll actually be co-paneling it with my friend. .^^
as much as i hate to say it, i'm not exactly as hyped as i was for '07. maybe it had something to do with the things that happened to me in '07 (or in this case, LACK THEREOF), but the anticipation bug has yet to bite me yet. maybe in another few months

then again, this coming from a guy who's developed a tolerance to the caffeine content of your average energy drink (Full Throttle, Rockstar, etc.)
I've developed a tolerance as well, It just means I have to consume more than normal for the same effects. Basically 5-6 cans of a large monster will get me going for a night of graveyard and waking people up that are asleep on the con floor =D.

I've been counting down on my blog...I'm going to make all my serious plans after Sac-Anime in January of '08.

We came up today that we would pay the difference of what they need (which from is only a $17 difference from me and my best friend's plan). AND were goin to offer to pay for the deposit on the room. If they don't accept this deal I don't know what to think. I mean come on who turns down money. XD

Because I do know other college student that cosplay as well. My friends and girl friends are going to do it this year. Then again it is their first convention and they want to have the full experience. Were you at the Naruto Gathering?

Whoa, heavy alert. Be ready to start making your cosplays; I lost contact with my cosplay commissioner at one point; I STILL haven't got my cosplay pieces. As in, VERY close to a whole YEAR after entering a contract with her.
My only problem is getting enough money to go and trying to get a new outfit ready too.

Just finished commissioning my cosplays this morning (with everything else going on I have no time to make them by hand this year). All I need now is my plane ticket and I'll be set! Darn Southwest for not having tickets available yet!

Okay, I am really, really, really, really excited here. so damn excited that I can't even sleep for some nights. It's driving me and my friends CRAZY!!!!

The "opening ceremonies" aren't until early afternoon Friday usually. But I think things get started at around 10AM on Friday if I remember correctly from last year. As of last year there are also some things to do on Thursday night for those who are pre-registered.
i need to save a few months paychecks and reserve a room starting thursday.

This is going to be my first year in a *real* costume, so I am super excited! I'm kinda thankful it's still a little ways away though because I'm not prepared. ^-^() I still have to finish this costume, get all the gadgets...
I think about it almost on a constant basis and it makes my heart race thinking about the exciting drive there! Seeing all the costumes, feeling the friendly atmosphere - it's all something I love to be around! I've been going to the staff meetings with a friend who's volunteering for the arcade room, and just walking through the convention center and the hotels was enough to make me scream and run down the halls!

I remember those days when i started go to Fanime con 99..those where the great days when u where free as a bird lol as a staff i guess. but fanime seems to get better every year that passes by.we will see what wonders fanime 08 has to offer us this year..
Yeah me and my friend have are room reserved and everything. This is my first time doing more than one costume. I wanted to do three but I think I'm just going to simplify it to just two. I can't wait!!!!! I want to play in some of the Smash Brothers tournaments. The countdown on the website kills me because I'm soooo impatient. ><;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
i really cant wait, when i go by downtown san jose i get a little nostolgic and miss all the otaku and cosplayers running around down town. :,(

i've got my room and just getting to work on my cosplay. i'm looking forward to seeing all you again and meeting all the first timers=)

I am SO excited for my first Fanime con! :D I've heard from so many people that despite its size, it still has a very personable and friendly atmosphere, exactly what I love most about a convention! So I'm making the 6 hour drive from Southern California to be there and I know it'll be worth it!
As I've mentioned my life has been INSANE for the last 3 months. The only thing keeping me sane is the hope of Fanime on the horizon. Everyday we are just a bit closer. My cosplay should be here soon, I'm ordering my hair dye this week (hopefully). Now if everything else will work out I can be fanime crazy soon! :-) (Everyone pray for the apartment I want to approve me then everything will fall into place)
