Yay! :) Thank you so much. This is my first time selling at fanime, and I was really happy that signups were easy and relatively stress free.

I've created my account, and I'm currently on step 3, but I'm a bit confused.
At the top of the page, it says: "Congratulations! Your table request is preliminarily approved, pending the final review of work for compliance with the table agreement by AA Staff." Then, farther down, it says, "Your account is now awaiting selection from the Artist Alley team, etc."
This seems a bit strange. Does the message at the top mean that I probably got a table, or does it mean nothing? (Sorry if this question seems stupid...)

Also, how will we know if our account has been selected? Will we receive an email?

Okay! I'm super excited. :D
For the group meet-up: I'm C. Kelly, and, unfortunately, I have one of those names that's impossible to assign a nickname to. You can all just call me Cailin.

I'm just going to wear my favorite pair of jeans and a nice shirt. :)
#105
Sure. :D This seems like a fun idea.

I like singing in Japanese because no one else understands what I'm saying. :D

It's also hard for sopranos, because even most female songs have some sort of low part. For a while, I considered singing Last night, Good night because of the high part, but I decided it was a bit too slow.

I've never had any real voice training, either. Just my mom, who has insanely perfect pitch.

Me either.  Its all practice for me.

Well, they say practice makes perfect. I practice obsessively (mostly in the shower). XD I annoy everyone around me because, according to them, I never stop singing.

Gah, everyone seems like they have lots of experience with karaoke.

This will be my first contest. Aaahh the nervousness.

I think most of us are at least a little nervous. :) I wouldn't worry about it.

Ok, thanks. I don't think it's a big deal if we're wrong. :) I can't wait to hear everyone sing. (It's my first karaoke contest EVER.)

same, hope you don't get stage freight :d

If you just have fun with it, it's a lot easier to avoid stage fright.  That's what I have learned from choir. :D

I'm in choir, too! What part do you sing? I'm a soprano.

(I'm in high school, by the way. Not saying my actual age.)

Thanks. :) I find that running in place for a couple minutes helps me calm down a lot.

I didn't know what the "check only if karaoke version" boxes were for, so I assumed that they meant that the song you had already had no vocals and, therefore, did not need any vocals removed. Could someone correct me if I'm wrong?
#116
Now I'm really nervous. I'm sure I put my name, but I'm really nervous now. >.< (and I just repeated myself.)

I have another question. Suppose a song has a rather lengthy instrumental part in between verses? Is it possible/allowed to skip over this instrumental part in order to get more singing time in?
#118
Is it frowned upon to do two songs by the same artist. For example, could someone sing a Hatsune Miku song in the preliminary round, and then a different Hatsune Miku song in the finals? Or do the judges prefer a lot of variety?
