Okay, change of plans actually.

The Nanao thing won't work out (Shaving = No no when my other cosplays involve beards). So I'll actually be our second Shunsui. -.- It's going to be such a pain wearing the two Haori's, the Captain's robe AND pink Kimono. Can someone make sure I don't die from heat exhausion XD?

Oh, and this is a definate change for me, however my friend will still be attending as Rukia.

edit: ok so for those of you that have accounts on Gaia Online, i've made a thread over there promoting the gathering. its basically the same as what we have going on here with the exception that its got links to this thread as well as the one on Cosplay.com. so if you have a Gaia account come check it out ^^

Anyways, after a long separation with my computer I am finally able to confirm that I will be doing Hanatarou, but with his convenience store hair because I doubt I'll get my wig by then.

oh and since this is the Bleach cosplay thread, i think this little bit of news is quite relevent: I don't know if you guys already know, but apparently Bleach has now been licensed by Viz Media and will be airing on Adult Swim this coming fall. I can't imagine any of the characters speaking english, and i fear it might head down the same path as Naruto and sell out to Hot Topic T_T

The wig is subpar, but will work; I'm looking into a possible replacement, though. The main bulk of the costume should hopefully ship within the next week.

Small update to the gathering list: two of my friends will be coming as Orihime in school uniform (for sure) and Rukia in same (not too sure yet). I'll confirm here at a later date...

Whee! I have nothing done yet ohohoho. I'm actually going to pawn the construction off on one of my friends, and worry about the wig only. The katana, which is made of two yardsticks sanded and sawed and glued and other things together, is about 25% done.

But at least it'll be on Adult Swim - the voices are a little better than those available on Cartoon Network, and we won't have to worry about the precious violence being cut out. And Hot Topic is really a good marketing idea - it's everywhere, and the people who frequent those stores generally find anime an attractant.

Or at least that's the case at my school - several of the 'rebels' and 'punks' and 'goths' and whatnot gravitate towards anime because it's not 'mainstream', as it is.

Hey folks. I'm new to the forum but I just wanted to drop a note that I will be doing a ukitake cosplay for fanime this year. I've already got the complete costume, but I will be making myself a pair of prop swords before the con.

And just out of curiosity, the gathering is planned for 2pm outside the fountains on saturday?
