It is from ebay, but I have a few friends who have ordered from them and their products are fine. I'll trust them on it.

I'll bring brownies and juice. Personally I'd go either day but in the past more people have shown up when we had then on saturdays than on sundays. Do you want to have the actual tea party at the convention itself or at one of the two neighboring parks?

i would prefer both saturday and at the park. i really liked the one with the ginat dice and monopoly board. :P

Um, how about we have it on Saturday instead, since the last lolita gatherings were usually on that day. Sunday has the bleach, Naruto, and other popular gatherings.

Last year there was a Lolita Tea Party on Sat.. If you would like the tea party on the Official Gatherings list please let me know the info on the gatherings thread. I haven't been able to attend and would like too. ^^)

I also wanted to point out some interesting info... There is talk of a black and white masquerade ball. I know that the creator of this idea is hoping to have gothic lolita's show up, or lolita's for that matter ^^) so maybe you can schedual your teaparty at an early evening time and go to the B&W ball for a little while. I can't say when it would be, but I just wanted to let all of you know.

Where is that park? Is it right next to the convention center or across the street?

Hey there.. I know this is a gathering for you guys that normally wear EGL outfits, but I was wondering if anyone would have a problem with me coming?

I would really like to see the outfits and learn more about what is considered gothic lolita and how your outfits have been assembled. All I know is from the little I've garnered from the internet, which just seems to confuse me even more. I would even dress up nicely and bring treats to share.  =)

If not, it's not a big deal. I just figured I'd ask instead of barging in on your gathering.

i'm sure that nobody would be opposed, but maybe a convention isn't the best place for looking at lolita fashion. i can get you some great links if you want more information on the fashion. conventions are famous for having lolita that aren't quite... "right". (to lolitas reading this: i'm not a crazy elitist, in fact i prefer lolita fashion to be diffrent and innovative, but i also know the diffrence between inovvation and not wearing it correctly.)

I agree with Nina about looking for lolita fashion at conventions...
I am not the best example of lolita but I do try my best and look for the elites rules to guide me a little. I'll probably be wearing a country loli outfit at the picnic ! <3

I wanted to let everyone here know that the park with the monopoly board and dice is two blocks away. There is a park across the street and to the right where the curled snake statue is.

If I have mine done I will come in costume :) with my camera. This of course will depend on when and where. If it is Sunday then probably not. If I get my main character cosplay done by april then I will be doing that for the last half of Sunday. The first half will be a Soul Society pleeb from Bleach. I was hearing talk of the B&W Masquerade ball being on Saturday and though I might dress in my outfit on that day.  I am just trying to determine if I want to do a EGA, EGL, L, or GL. *LOL Maybe I should just go as a "Yankee" :P

If that is the case I won't be so mean if people chat with us in costume...
I'm hoping to have it right outside the convention center because the parks are so far from it, if lolita's don't go on the forums I posted it in, they'll never know about it.
I've been told, however, we can't have it inside the convention center, even with so many people loitering around while we have a cause.
