hello, I saw you on the gaia topic. I posted there before saying I might go if I can. I didn't make an acc on fanimecon fourm until now and I want to say I'll be going to the tea party ^^.

Just remember that its a lolita picnic, not a king's feast,

i thought this was funny and i thought that i might bring up a point: while people usually eat like complete pigs at conventions (omg the post-alcoholic MUNCHIES!!!) here, you will have a gathering of girls smushed into corsettes, body cinches, small accessories and basically just trying to not rip the seams of their loli costumes. i don't forsee food being the main focus of this gathering. i will probably grab a cookie or two and shove them into my mouth when nobody is looking :D

basically don't overdo it. putting in this term, pitching in a little food or drink shouldn't cost more than 10 bucks a person. we don't want to bestow a post-Thanksgiving tupperwear nightmare upon our Lady Hostess :p

do you have napkins, plates and cups? might want people to sign up to bring those.

I have a lot of picnic supplies... I only hope it will be enough....... But I have at least 40 small plates and 40 big plates and lots of napkins....
I think I'll need people to bring juice boxes or water bottles.....

I really don't plan on picnic-ing on grass because it's so far from the center.... I want to be inside the convention center unless something happens otherwise...... I don't want the loli's to get all hot and sweaty from the sun or heat......

i live pretty close to San Jose, so im going to be driving my rather huge van up. i can take anyone to the store. i plan to go for my own needs so :o just let me know.

That sounds like a better Idea. I live about 4 hours from the Bay Area...and even though I have a huge truck...It'll be hella packed with costumes and crap. If it's alright, I'd like to go food shopping with you for the picnic. Message me here or on my VF account. ^-^

I updated the first post and posted a list with who said they'd go...

We are planning to meet on Saturday between the hours of 3 and 4 and have our meal for about 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours.

Ok, I'm a bit confused. Are you saying that we're going to have people showing up for an hour and then at start the actual picnic and stuff? If so what are the peoplethat got there at three going to do? Or are you sayin that we're suposed to show up at three and the gathering to end some time around four? Every gathering I've ever hosted or attended had an exact time we were suposed to meet up, we waited a few minutes for late commers and then if anyone was super late they could of course join us when they got there but we didn't wait to start pictures/food/games any longer than minutes.

We will be having a picnic and having various games to play as well as a photoshoot nearing the end of the picnic (or should it be the beginning?).

Just know that no matter when you decide to have time set aside for an actual photoshoot that chnaces are we're going to have people asking for our pictures before, during and after because we're right in fround of the convention center. Maybe if we could do pictures before and after and/or  organized group pictures before the picic and indivdual pictures afterwards? Just a thought.

Do you mind if I post info about this on the livejorunal egl group? There's always a few girls from there that attend the gahterings at fanime.

I have a couple large blankets I can bring just in case.

Sorry I'm a little unclear... I'll make things a little more consise on the first post now thanks.... ^_^;;;;

Oh and Blankets would be great!
I know I'm bringing one big one I'm making for stuff to be set on but I'm not sure how many people can sit on it with the food.....
