Is there any idea about when the ballroom dancing lessons will be? Would they be on Saturday or Friday?

right now we're looking to have the lessons on saturday mid-day so people have time to practice what they've learned before the dance itself.

reg should be over for the day by the time things get started for the dance itself.  as for the lessons...  well, talk to your boss :P

Hmmm.....sounds awesome! Looks like all our hard work is paying off!! Woohoo! This will be the first time going to a fancy dance....I never even got to go to my prom so this'll be SUPER special for me ^^

What's the word on costume props, like swords and the like?  I know it'd be kinda hard to dance with them and stuff, but some costumes just aren't anything without them.

we will be having a coat check area where things like props and coats etc. can be left which will be attended.  dancing with things like swords could be potentially very dangerous and we would prefer not to have any injuries so people will be encouraged to check their props.

Um, and if someone had a cosplay like Kankuro from Naruto, and wanted to dance with one of his puppets, do you think that would be okay?

Anyone know if earlier in the day there will be someone approving costumes to be worn at the ball? I'm just curious cause I'm going as Kazekage Gaara and it's mostly black/white, or could be all black if necissary.  I am also curious if masks are required as I will be wearing face makeup

as long as you're in a costume you wont have any issues.  (and even if you're not, you will be able to get in but costumes are highly encouraged.)  as far as "approving" costumes etc., no, there wont be anyone doing that as this isn't a contest or anything of that nature.  the one thing i would suggest though is to consider how much mobility you will have in the costume.

Inuashley- It's okay to wear anything within the Fanime's dress code for cosplaying. If it's not going to scare children with nudity and/or explicit things, I'm sure your dress will be fine. It doesn't have to be black and white, but it would be nice it it was. :3
