Ok, guys. This is dumb. We need to fix this.

There are still 180 days left. As it is, we'll all have to wait 180 days until Fanime. That is a long time. We need to find a solution such as time travel, making every day Fanime, or maybe just having a couple Fanimes sprinkled throughout the year. Suggestions?
I'm personally for every day being Fanime.

Believe it or not, Fanime isnt the only convention in the bay area or california in general...

it also takes the dedication, time and efforts of easily hundreds of volunteers, staff and as well as our vendor partners (like the convention center and hotel staff) so not to burst your bubble, but even if we wanted to have Fanime 24/7 ... its a bit of a pipe dream...

with that said, thus the forums are here for you anime fix needs.

feel free to chat, discuss and even make new friends who are also as dedicated to anime related stuffs as you are.

We do have group gatherings and even plan mini events whenever possible.

Besides, if Fanime WAS 24/7 it wouldnt be as special ne?

Haha, I think that everyone sympathizes with you when you say that Fanime should be every day.  Well, except for the people who haven't finished with their cosplays yet.... but after they finish they'll be in the same boat.

But Jerry is right to say that if it was every day then it wouldn't be special.  You should settle for the different cons on the different months.  They are usually lame, but it still helps to feed that anticipation for Fanime.

But it would be soooooo good if Fanime was more than a weekend, like during break.  WEEKLONG FANIME!  OMG.

I'm too poor, limited in transportation, and busy to invest in other cons.  =P
Even though fanime is like, 4 days Monday shouldn't even count, and I always get there late on Friday. >.< I'm for weeklong Fanime!

Saturday and Sunday are the best days to really fun and meet lots of people since there are so many events going on. ^__^b Almost every year, I go up on Thursday.

I don't think you realize the enormous amount of effort that goes into simply getting it to work just for that one weekend(booking musical guests, accommodating guests of honor, setting up panels, getting dealers, arranging live/video programming, etc.); trying to have it multiple times throughout the year would take more work, which would equal to a crappier version of the con.

I'm fine with just having it once a year, because having too much of something makes it less special than it already is, and not everyone has fuckloads of cash to attend fanime if it were held multiple times throughout the year.

It works the way it is right now, and the formula doesn't need to be altered; as much as it would be nice to have each fanime closer to the next one, it just doesnt work well that way.

xD  I got the joke x3 I'm like that for AX, so my friend is taking me up to go to Fanime ^^; luckily I can affored to go to more than one con. and it'll be my first time up at Fanime and in San Jose =X It's goint to be fun ^^
