Bleach Gathering 2008! (The Aftermath!)

I am Sorry but I think you misunderstand me ^_^;
I meant I am going to cosplay as Byakuya and as well as Luppi.
But for the gathering means there is another Luppi Cosplayer I will be Byakuya for the pictures.

its not limited like one person per character, so you can be Luppi if you want. not sure how you'll pull off being two characters for the gathering, but hey if you can work it then by all means go for it. ill put you under both characters ^^

it may be the fact that it's 2 am right now but i had an idea.
a HOLLOW pinata. everyone could take turns whacking at it with their zanpukto.

or maybe a big cardboard/plywood cut-out of a hollow, and you need to throw a Kon plushy through it's hole?

I second Runewitt's suggestions.  We can wack the pinantas with the flat side, and you don't have to hit the pinanta hard for fear the sword breaks.  Everyone with zanpuktos, you may break the peacebond outside the con.  Just remember to peacebond again before walking around the con ^__^

Happy holidays, everyone!  Posting to let you know I'm still coming to the gathering, but not the lunch/breakfast part.  Still haven't decided on who I'll cosplay, trying to talk one of my friends into making a blade for me ... dang, tried to read all the posts, think I may have missed some.  Ah, well.

there's a place near me that does custom Pinantas, i could find out how much it'd range to get a simple one done with a few sketches, etc. it's be cool to do off site at the park or something, where seeing a bunch of shinigami attacking a hollow would seem a bit more.. yeah!

You know, That could actually work out. As long as we do that in the park area, so we won't break any rules. Maybe the Pinanta could be a symbol for the 2008 gathering. We could do it at the end, after everyone is done taking pictures and everything. It will be a great way to end such a fantastic Bleach gathering next year. I'm not sure how this will work out in the end, but your idea is pretty "fresh & unique". ( how will people chip in for the candy, or are you planning to donate some candy for the pinanta? I already have my hands full with making a good Cd for next years gatherng along with a poster too)  If you want I can probably chip in about $5 for the pinanta?

= o There's just so much work to be done. I still have to make one more costume and save up enough money for the entire weekend and all. Ugh; I'm also bringing two new Noobs to the convention and I have to order a hotel room with the use of my Credit card. XD ( all I know, is that the people that plan to go with me better give me money for gas and the room. Otherwise their sleeping outside. = )

the pinata idea sounds awesome. maybe we could fit it in somewhere after we're done taking photos. Not sure if I'll have the funds to help chip in for it (hotel and cosplay expenses consume my monies DX lol). let me ask around at the cosplay.com thread, see what people think of the idea.

as for my cosplay progress (at least as far as Bleach goes), I'm leaning towards wearing Ulquiorra to the gathering - it will be easier for me direct the gathering without having my giant snake/monkey/snunkey Zabimaru with me XD which ill actually be starting construction on after the holiday (my whole winter break is being dedicated to constructing him).

lol its not my dog actually. that picture was taken at a friend's house after we went to this anime holiday fair in fremont earlier this month. her family raises puppies to be trained to be disability dogs, so they had a litter when i was over there. my friend was all like ' we have to get a picture of you as Ulquiorra holding a puppy!' and so we did XD
not sure if Aizen would ever get him one, but if he did i bet Ulquiorra would be a much happier arrancar XD

Kimu, peace bonding is Fanime Con policy.  You can take your sword out of the sheath outside the con.  Just don't do anything to get police attention.

i'll call the place sometime this week and get a price for it, and depending on my income later+next month i can order it and ask for gathering peoples to throw in a dollar or two to help the cost and teh candy. generic hollow, or something specific?

i dont want to settle on something right away/without other people's imput and then end up not being able to get to fanime, or end up with a lot of people offering money to elp with it and then it not happen.
