Bleach Gathering 2008! (The Aftermath!)

Well, if everything goes well with my cosplay, I'll be cosplaying as Retsu Unohana for the first time. Sounds like fun! I've seen the Bleach Gathering last year, and it was huge! ^_^ But I took a lot of photos of that gathering along with Naruto one. XD

Its Shunsui's Shikai, i did it on MS Paint with my mouse so dont flame me too hard D:

Those look awesome! You're good at MS Paint... I can't do ANYTHING on that program. xD Especially with a laptop mouse.


But anyways, I was wondering... Does anybody here have any patterns for the hakama? I found one, but its not exactly the arrancar hakama, but a more traditional one that isn't quite the same.
But, what I'm really looking for is a pattern for Wonderwice's jacket... I'm working on the cosplay with my grandma, but she is really nervous about cutting into the fabric without a pattern and accidentally ruining it... So we'd both feel better if we were working with a pattern. Does anybody know where I can find one? =<

heres the pattern i bought for my hakama: http://www.folkwear.com/asian.html
all you need to do to make it fit the Arrancar version is to make the front of the hakama look exactly like the back (basically there will be a backboard in the front and the back). as far as Wonderwice's jacket, best bet is to either look around for a jacket pattern that is as close as possible to resembling his jacket and alter it as needed, and/or go buy some muslin (which is very cheap so you can get lots of it) and come up with a pattern. hope the advice is helpful, and good luck with your costume ^^

Helpful tip!
Get muslin!
Nice, cheap, wonderful muslin.
Make your costumes the first time out of the muslin!
That way you have no worries about wrecking and wasting your good fabric.
You get to 'practice' putting the costume together, and figuring out if you need to customize anything.
When you're done, if the thing didn't need any changes, then go back and do it again with the original pattern pieces. Now you can sew with complete confidence.
If you needed to make changes, you can take out the seams and use the muslin pieces as a new pattern piece.

Looks like the gathering will most likely be huge again :)
