Bleach Gathering 2008! (The Aftermath!)

This weekend I'm going to Japan town to celebrate my b-day with my friends. We plan on seeing the Sakura parade on the 20th, but I have no clue what time it's supposed to start. I'm coming all the way from Stockton too, so if there's anyone that could help me. I would be really happy = )

the parade starts at 1, leaving from City Hall, and should end around 3.

I need peoples opinion on this. For my soul reaper outfit (it's my own character) I'm not sure if I should bring my wazitashi along as well or just attach a really cool key chain I have to my katana. I've also realized I can make paper shurikins which would be a maroon (blood?) red. For my character I'm trying to stick to a shikai form rather than bankai due more or less limited resources and time, plus the people at the bleach chess thread suggested not to do uber powerful which I'm inclined to agree. Depending on what people say I'll make a name for my zanpakuto myself.

I would say just bring your wazitashi and your katana unmodified - people might think you're doing some kind of Bleach/KH crossover with the keychain being attached to it. I think you should also leave out the shurikins. ultimately it comes down to what you want to do.

I'm pretty sure at least some of Okage-Sama De~ will be debuting their Bleach costumes this year, and I don't have to do much for mine since I have a wig and am borrowing the outfit from a friend, so I guess...sure, count me in. Put me down for Nanao. There's another person on the board, Jangular...he's the one that convinced me to be Nanao, so he'll probably be going, too, so I think it's pretty safe bet to put him down for Shunsui. I'll post again if something comes up for either of us.

Hmm now I see your point, unless I got something like a chainmail sleeve for my left arm it probably would be odd. But with the katana and the wazitashi should I have them on the same side or mix it up? People might get confused if there on the same side.

Looks like I would not be cosplaying as Unohana due to some communication/payment issues with the commissioner. I'm trying to see if I can get my money back on the cosplay. :(

Hey you guys!

I went to the Sakura Festivle, and had the time of my life. I haven't been there since I was really young and it was great going through the whole experience all over again. I met a lot of people that are planning to go to Fanime, so I decided to ppost a couple of the pictures I took while I was there. Next year, my friends and I are going back, but we plan on cosplaying second time around. =3 ( I didn't cosplay this time, cause I was going with my parents. We were celebrating my birthday this weekend, cause my Dad isn't going to be in town for my 21st birthday. T^T; Anywho, I still had a lot a fun!)

Cherry Blossom Festival was great fun yesterday!
I have to say on behalf of Bleach things that Bankai Renji was awesome!

When you do get to see Bankai Renji at Fanime, make sure you ask to pet Zabimaru.  ;)
