If you were to time travel

Where would you go to the Future or the Past? (I am watching the first Back to the Future and now on the second one)



I would go back to the 80's and check it out for awhile, but not try to mess things up.

I'd make a savings account and put in some money, then go crazy into the future to reap the rewards. Yeah, except, well...

Being in the future with no idea of what's happened seems dangerous. I'd probably get into the history books, then maybe check the virtual reality games, if they have it by then.

If I can constantly go back and forth from the present and the (slight) future, I would just check out what answers to tests were after getting them back in the future, go back to the present time to make sure to put all the correct answers, and get top grades all the time. That way, I can get super awesome grades in classes that I won't need in the future but are required.
Might as well take it to my advantage.

If there are rules where I can't change anything that directly would effect me or the future from time traveling, I'd probably wanna see how the Romans lived. That'd be neat.

1. Catch a cold
2. Go back to the 16th century
3. Come back to the present and see how many people died
4. Repeat with different time periods

AND THEN I would fast forward to like, right before the human race has its downfall (we all know its coming) and take the technology they have there and bring it here.  This = MOAR advancement

I would go to the future I suppose. To see how things have changed and its wonders. And to know what to fix when I return. But I would have to abide by the rule of not getting close or knowing the future people because by returning, I may negate their existence.

The past would be way too tempting to go back and fix things. And its way too easy to justify negating mine and others existence if the cause is great enough. But being a woman in the past raises a lot of issues due to how women were treated. Being in the past may be fun due to less limitation (in some ways) but I would be constantly afraid of negating mine and the existence of those that I care about.

And if there was no chance of my returning I would first choose to stay where I am. If not, in a era where I could move freely.

I always thought it would be neat to bring people from the past to the future.  Just before they die bring someone who made a HUGE change in the world forward so they can see their legacy, have to be done just before they die so we don't change their legacy.  I think the neat side of that would be seeing if they were happy with how their work was used after they died.

But if it was a one way trip...I think I'd be to the past.

I'd travel back to the January 2000 and get ridiculously drunk in a bar and make a speech:
I predict within 8 years:  ;D

1) The Chinese will build space rockets and send astronauts up into space!

2) The US will fight a war in Iraq and we'll get our butts kicked!

3) Right now is a good time to sell ALL your stocks. Get out of the stock market NOW!

4) The Canadian dollar will be worth more than the US dollar!

5) Hillary Clinton will run for president!
