Official E-Gaming Tournament list/ rules

If you guys want, I can bring my PS2 copy of CvS2 for the tournaments (Sunday 5-7 right?) Course I'm gonna be watching it VERY closely to see that no one steals my disc but if that's fine with you guys, I'm cool with it (No converter here either so I would prefer playing it on the PS2 if possible).

The way things are going, I'm pretty sure only MvC2 is on DC, so that should be all you would need your DC stick for.

at the moment, cvs2 and 3s are on DC.

i'm trying to change it to ps2, but that's not for certain.

They're not. DC versions of both 3S and CvS2 are... mediocre at best. CvS2 has a huge leway for frame inputs and the what nots. Making accidental moves, easier roll cancels, easier links etc. all happen. Slight property changes through out the game(though to be honest, I doubt anyone that plays at fanime will notice any of these). The biggest issue is the roll cancel change. The bigger gap makes things retarded and shifts balaces even MORE towards a-groove players to abuse.

3S is a whole shit load different. Property changes all over the place. Juggle properities, hit grab boxes, stun times, frame lengths etc. etc. etc. 3S on DC is a totally different game compared to the arcade/ps2 version. It RAPES Chun players(which I do like) and changes Yun players completely. Timings are totally different on Genei Jin combos so anyone who doesn't play on DC will be missing a lot of their Genei-jin combos. Dudley players have fewer frames for some cancels. I could go on, but you get the point.

If Capcom vs SNK 2 does happen on PS2, I may be interested in entering the tourney for it (I think I may be making a death wish here against the better/skilled players)

Anyways, 3s on DC is a joke. Also, who the hell still uses DC's other than for Marvel. It's getting close. I hope there's a stable answer by Thursday, because I don't have a converter or a stick.

I talked to my roommate and it turns out we have CvS2 and street fighter anniversary edition for ps2.
if the 3s on anniversary is the same as the game by itself, then we can run these games on ps2. :) and for the sticks, we'll see what we have.
