Alright now I am going to be handling the Gathering for 2009 [If that is alright with everyone]. I hate to say this but this years gathering wasn't so awesome as I thought it would be. Due to people Picking favorites of who to take a picture of and leaving others out of the gathering photo's [The Mello's, Matt's, Near's, Mikami's] So I decided I wanted to handle next Year's gathering. So if anyone has any Ideas of what they would like to do at the gathering feel free to let me know.

Though this thread was started by Death_Note_Matt, the gathering is now being run by CaptTreasureTrov. I am assisting the Captain (*giggles I guess that makes me #1 LOL Sorry Trekkie humor couldn't resist) anyway I will be assisting the Captain by updating the info to the 1st post. The Captain is maintaining the list here

Monday (May 25) at 10 AM [official gathering day!]
Friday (May 22) at 2:30 PM [unofficial gathering day/CE; see below in CE section to discuss start and end time of this]
Place: Fountains in Front (Hilton Side)


Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

LUNCH. Starting earlier than 2:30, of course. Hopefully everyone can bring an apple or two for fun.
I am also wondering how/what everyone wants to eat. Other than apples.
Do you want to bring food from home for a picnic or buy food at places around Fanime? >_>
Most important of all is the time that we meet for this, right? What time works best for you? We should meet some time around/between 11:30 AM and 12:30 ... meet for at least an hour if we're having lunch. Not sure what else you would like to do after lunch, which might end around 1-1:30.

You should go as Mello ^_^; it shouldn't matter as long as you have fun with your cosplay XD

Hm... that's weird tho, I'd rather take pictures of Whammy's house kids over Misa and Light.... ~_~ Well, everybody has different tastes I guess.

I noticed more pictures we're taken of the L's more (But you gotta love a sleep-deprived guy who eats sweets 24/7 ^^ ), and this gathering was not really what I was expecting, did they take any group pictures? Like all the Death Note cosplayers got in a big bunch and took one huge picture? Because if they did then I missed it big time D:

I've been looking at pictures online all day and I haven't seen any big Death Note groups yet. If not that sucks! I know for my group at the Shonen Jump gathering we only did one group picture before all the cosplayers from our series got there. We should have done another but we lacked organization. I guess the lesson learned is that somebody needs to rally everybody together (Or at least try to) for a big picture and then people are bound to hop in with cameras.

No No The More the Better of any DN Cosplay ^_^ That means The bigger the gathering. So if you want to cosplay as Misa do it, as long as you have a good time  making and wearing your cosplay. That is all that matters.
