Geez Nightroad i envy you having time to drive t the book store :( I have to redo a major chunk of my 4-H book in the next couple days before i leave *sigh* my mother is freaking worse than me.

You're tempting me to make a run for the Borders tonight. Maybe I should call the store...hmmm....

But if by "close" you mean the costume...I am not, really.
I have to re-finish the armor stuff to get rid of the texture then repaint. And make the shoulder pauldron (that's on tomorrow's plate).
Then the arrows to sew on, and the rosary bling to finish.
I might save some of the cording work for after the picnic before AX to finish.
And...last but not least, style the wig. (Not that the manga version Abel has neat hair by any means, in fact, it's a total mess all the time...buuuut... LOL!)

Verrrrry funny, Nightroad!

And darn it all...
So the website said: in stock.
But the store is like, "well, guess they're in a box we haven't opened yet...."
That's my luck!

So, being denied the novel, and that's probably penance for not having my costume done....here's some in progress stuff, as in up to the minute!
I didn't bother taking a pic of the armband yet, nothing really to "show" there yet.
But the first cross is decked in gold on the scarf--3 to go! (Although the circle part for the cross design still has to be done, too.)
And there's the gloves. Yes, there is paper towel stuffed in there for the moment. ;p

Tell your mother I thank her for her concern. I'm fine. My Mom and Dad talked it out. It was interesting...and...yea. Just lots of crying and depression. *sighs* It's been a bad day. I'm just glad it's over, ya know?

The scarf is my personal "Iblis" for the week. I've been stuck on the thing since last Sunday. 10' monster that it is.
So it MUST get done because I must be working on armor again tomorrow!

Yay kimu, your gloves and scarf are totally wicked! And i wish you luck on your quest for the novel :)

Esther it is great to hear your doing ok! And if you feel like coming to the parade it starts around 10 i belive and goes on for about an hour . . .in the hot blazing sun . . .well at least I'm not in band ha ha, those poor devils have to wear these really heavy uniforms.

Yes, it's 2 am.
I got the 4th cross all decked out in gold, falala...la la laaaa!
(Took over an hour for each one.)
Only thing is, I can't quite finish it, the silly gold stuff doesn't work to make a circle shape....
So....I'll have to actually finish it tomorrow after I can go to the store to get some gold cording.

I think this scarf is trying to eat my mind. Really!!!

Let this be a warning to all who will be trying to make manga/art book versions--start now and avoid the Fanime rush. These things are insane. ;b~
