The trailer looks absolutely terribad.

Where the hell is Krillin? Piccolo looks like a bad guy from Buffy, and the whole thing shows no real investment in upping the special effects to produce anything remotely close to things like the Kamehameha or other energy-based attacks.

If they did the original Dragonball, with young Goku and Krillin and Master Roshi in the tournament, they probably could have done a lot better. It's obvious they didn't even try with Piccolo.

Seriously, wtf movie industry.

All I gotta say is uh-oh!

Am I the only one that doesn't find the trailer that miserable? It just seems like they're translating it into something a bit less fantasy-based than the original. I may see it just to see if it turns out well.

Ummm.......wow.  That looks pretty awful.  I guess I should thank my lucky stars the Sailor Moon Live Action movie never got off the ground.  It just goes to show that if the studio is not invested in the product, you get "Speed Racer."  Sad.  And we still have these anime-based jewels to look forward to:

According to IMDB Krillin isn't even in the freeking movie. I heard they have Yajurobi though. And what's even worse is they have Goku in high school. That is like random  random and unneeded. Since the point of the Goku character is that he's a boy with a monkey tail. And they cant add in Goku's best friend even if the only air time he has is getting murdered. But they can keep in the guy who so fat, lazy, and useless (With the exception of some occasions) that he should be be shoved into a cannon and fired into the sun.

Thankfully the Ghost in a Shell movie will be directed by Spielberg so there is hope for live action anime movies yet.
