Resident Evil 5!

Thanks to an awesome ninja friend who was able to get in touch with a good friend from Capcom Japan...

I have been bestowed to try out the Japanese release of the PLAYABLE DEMO of resident evil 5! (ironically EVERYTHING is in English)

This demo comes with two scenarios (Sub Boss fights with) the Axe Wielder and Chainsaw Weilder!

This demo also has CO-OP! (off line split screen only)

For those who want to check this game out and/or who also want to rant about Resident evil, I'd like to hear your 2 cents!

Might as well get some game time in before the final version is released.
And for those of you who fight with Knives only - you guy (and ive heard some gals do it too) are WAY too hardcore for me :P

It it is a bummer for PS3 owners, I was hoping the demo would be downloadable for both systems. I seen the article on
Kotaku showing that the graphics is better then the PS3, but I am not seeing it. I wonder if the series will tie up any loose
ends from the previous game or just another story?

initial reports claim, this may (or may not) be an inclusive tie in with previous resident evil games.

Considering that Chris Redfield (good 'ol partner Chris) from Resident evil one and after Chris' run in with Wesker from RE:code veronica. Supposedly there is a power struggle with Umbrella and Wesker/Ada Wong's company and the control of the newest (or parastie) version of the Virus/bio-freak creating = zombie creatures...

from what I remember reading, you'll see either flackbacks or new images of old chracters including- rumors of an adult Sherri (the little girl from RE:2) and I'm hoping theres a side story similar to Separate Ways: featuring Leon & female character... but one could only hope. :P

speaking of which, has anyone seen the CG movie Resident evil: Degeneration?

I've heard mixed reviews, any feedback on that Resident Evil?

All I know about RE5 is that it ties into RE4, with Chris mentioning the mutated villagers being similar to the 'Ganados' noted within the Kennedy report.

From the looks of it, this 'new' parasite is VERY similar to the Las Plagas (parasite/virus) strain that was involved of the story line of Re4.

Basically Umbrella or which ever company it seems to be now its trying again to use Zombies (or technically a bio weapon) as a form of controlled army for _insert take over the world reason here_ :P

Supposedly theres a Solo game and a Co-op Specific game. Time to make new friends via xbox live and share the zombie killing love. :D

Manhunt 2, Fatal Frame 4, Resident Evil 4 Wii-make, No More Heroes, MadWorld(coming out this year).

IIRC, the game has drop-in/drop-out co-op.

If I remember correctly the new company is Tricell. This is confirmed during the Resident Evil Degeneration movie and through the exclusive trailers for RE5. I can't wait since Wesker and Sherry are back. :) I'm curious what Tricell is plotting since they have both the t-virus and g-virus and possibly the las plagas.

I'm not really liking the controls they have set up for this one so far :( You can't move while firing your weapon and to run you have to press 'A' (which means my thumb is occupied and I can't move my camera at the same time).

Hopefully it'll just take some adjusting, and I'm still really looking to seeing the story and characters, but that does kinda suck :/
I'm super picky about controls though.

I finally got past my lazyness and went to download RE5D. Then I spotted HaloWars DEMO. Then, after downloading it, I went for RE5D. And then it tells me I am to young to download.
F**King Microsoft.
Its rated M. M is 17+! I'm 17! Jesus! But no, you have to be 18 to count as being 17. Bastards.

I despise the slow turning time with the characters, even after adjusting the settings in the options; Capcom better fix that junk.

I am not used to the controls (on the PS3) as well. That huge axe man is a pain in the ass until you realize you can actually get out of that room you are in.

I kinda want to get the SE from GameStop but price is $$$$... Hopefully that messenger bad is not flimsy.. maybe I should just rent it from gamefly.com instead :P
