Does anyone wish to get together to go see the movie "FRIDAY THE 13TH" next Friday on Friday the 13th? We can go see the earliest showing and then meet at my residence to commence with the enjoyment of Xbox 360. Mainly DBZ Burst Limit, and Soul Calibur IV. Also Halo if anyone wants to bring their lucky controller. What do ya say? Whole day of fun and excitement?

xXunyuuXx

Ooooo~
I wanted to see that but my wallet is crying at the moment.
Seeing it in a theater in San Jose or somewhere else?
Its a maybe for me @.@

Personally I'll sit out on the movie, but I'm down for the gaming,

I also have extra 360 wireless controlers and my gamertag via memory unit.

Personally I'll wait til next months (yes there are 2 Friday the 13ths in a ROW! ) next month in March, and thats when Resident Evil 5 comes out.

how bout a cheaper alternative? Rent one of the older Friday the 13th movies, (via net flicks on your xbox 360)
Watch and LOL at that and then get your game on.

Thats my 2 cents.

@xXunyuuXx   - arent you a lil young for scary movies? :P we wouldnt want u to have nightmares :P  - I'm just kidding around, tho i only like blood n guts when its a video game.... not so much in a movie (or for that fact) in real life. I get squeemish REALLY easily believe it or not. :P

EDIT - we might as well try to catch it at Great Mall, demmand is brooding for a possible gathering there...  ;)

The first SAW movie was really good in terms of storyline, everything else that came after that was pretty much just for raking in money, IMO.

I'll wait to hear some reviews on the movie, then I'll think about it.

Um...Saw sucks and all, lol Specially since he supposidly died 2 movies ago. I mean, you don't make a movie about Jason Vorhees and Jason's not in the mo-...um...nvm. Anyways, I don't really wanna sound like a "Forum Police Officer," But I can already see we're getting off topic.

As to the idea about renting a Friday the 13th movie (via Netflix or otherwise), that would totally defeat the purpose of this being special. Otherwise I might as well ask if anyone wants to watch a movie at my place. Loses the novelty. Another thing, I don't have Netflix. And I'm saving my Microsoft points for whenever the DLC come out for SvR2009.

If you don't want to see the movie, but would still like to get together to play games and party, we just need to find out around the time the movie is over to plan where and when to meet afterwards. And yes, it'll be a theater in San Jose. Preferably Oakridge Mall.

Jerry

Sorry - back on topic.

so is this Friday the 13th a remake? or a new retelling? i cant tell nowadays.

Not so much a remake, as it is mainly a reboot/retelling of the original story(same thing they are doing for the Star Trek movie).

Personally, picking Friday the 13th for a franchise reboot was probably a good call.

It sounds like a rad idea and all but I'm a big wimp and can't watch scary movies, in theaters or at home. Seriously, there would be screaming and popcorn flying, possibly crying and nightmares. It wouldn't be fun for anyone. If gaming were to happen after the movie though I am scheduled to be off work at a reasonable hour for once...

Ok...so here's what I was planning. I'm going to go see the midnight release at the Cinnemark Theaters in Oakridge Mall, in San Jose, CA. Um...if nobody likes that idea, there's a matinee later that day. Any time coming over after either one is cool. I really would like to know who's serious about going. Basically, we'd meet up after the movie, I tell you how to get to my place, (I'll be wearing a big white hockey mask t-shirt) then we party hearty.

So just Copy/paste the list and add your name if you're wanting to join me. Oh yeah, after your name, add "MIDNIGHT" or "MATINEE" so I can get a vote on what y'all would prefer better.

1. Matlatzinca (MIDNIGHT)
