Registration pickup: Acceptable ID?

It was only recently that I figured out that I would need a state ID to pick up my Fanime registration pass, and I need to get one at the DMV. Since there is less than a month until the con, and the earliest I can go apply for one would be Wednesday, I don't think that the ID will come on time, (not to mention that the DMV does not exactly put a smile on my face.)

Since I am still in high school, this is a big problem, and I am aware that they don't accept school IDs. My question is, is there any other type of ID that is acceptable?

If you have a passport, that will work just fine. Otherwise, try emailing [email protected] and you should be able to work something out.

To be 100% honest, I've gone to Fanime the last 5 years and I've never been asked to show ID to pick up my badge. Obviously that's not something that's supposed to happen, but the folks that run pick up are only human.

I always ask for ID.
And in any case, everyone else I know that works at pre-reg also asks for ID, especially for pre-registration badge pickups... that's how we confirm your identity and go to step two; get a runner to grab your ID (or E-postcard, whichever the person gives to the runner) and match your badge to your name.

Even staff is required to show ID when we pick up our staff badges!

Truth, staff requires I.D.'s for their badges and we have to pay for staff shirts. The horror!

So when we pick up our badges, can I use my passport even if it's expired and has an old photo? My parents did plan to get it updated but never got to it.... But it has my name and birthday on it. Oh and will it work to go to age restricted events like the hentai room or a yaoi rooms?
(I have emailed reg on this matter)
