you could wear a tophat instead of a baseball cap if you're worried about it, but a baseball isn't really formal.

I'm pretty sure my dress is decent although from what Ive seen, I kinda wish it was a cosplay, or at least cosplay inspired. My friends, however, idk  if their dresses would follow dress code and they wanted me to check.

My first friend is going as Haruhi from Ouran in the dress she had on for the dinner in the beach episode

this is more of a question regarding the bxw dance lessons
it says that the dance lesson attire is casual, but is it ok if i wear my cosplay to the dance lesson?  it's a really simple cosplay that won't get in the way at all and i don't really wanna have to change out of it and then into it again

you can wear whatever you want to the lessons.  my only suggestion is to wear something comfortable and easy to move in
