I found a message from BSaphire (the moderator who organizes the official/complete gathering list) on the Vocaloids Gathering '09 thread who found some word from Death_Note_Matt (a.k.a Kamina_Chan) some time ago. I'll also be sending in our thread/gathering info and questions tonight so that we can get our gathering(s) organized ASAP!

hey i'm kagaminerin02's boyfriend the one whos doing Ryuk. i think u should do the gethering friday. mostly because thats when i'm cosplaying as ryuk and thats my main complicated cosplay to put on and walk around cause i'm half blind. so if the person in charge for this gathering can make this happen for friday or both friday and monday that would be great for my part and possibly others

I just sent BSaphire a PM about requesting to make our gathering on Monday AND Friday. :]
(Now we wait and see. :))
The official gathering [where Fanime will come to take photos] will be on Monday.
Our meeting/fun/hang out/Cosplayer Event day will be Friday.
So you can do Ryuk on both days, if all goes well with our anticipated PM reply. ^_^

I am thinking about altering the time that we meet on Friday, though, because if we want the CE to be at least an hour, we should move it up for those who have other gatherings later that day. Also, a Death Note lunch meeting or picnic, anyone? How does that sound for the CE? We'll definitely make it earlier if we're all going to eat lunch for our CE. :D

well since its gonna be my first time at fanime i have no idea where idea where things r but i'll see what i can do 'bout the food. cant make any promises though

This will also be my first time at Fanime! XD

I'm sure there's a list of places for food SOMEwhere. >_>

no its her first time too. i mean *grab me and help me out* as in if it almost time for the gathering and if someone who sees ryuk "me" and there going to the gathering too. can they please grab me,tap me on the shoulder etc and point me to the right direction. cause i'll mostly blind so yelling or waving at me to get my attention is not really gonna work.

YES! Please bring jam for the CE and official gathering! =D

I would hope that everyone who comes will bring at least one apple, though. For photos and epic laughs. ^__^

Hmm. I am not sure if you mean we are going to eat at a shop or we are going to have a picnic, though.
What do ye fellow cosplayers want to try? Bring food for picnic OR eat at shop/restaurant/cafe?

Yes, yes! That's why we now have a Choice B for our gathering times.

I think Choice B appeals more to those who have school because they will be able to make all three gatherings (official gathering + CE on Friday; hang out on Monday).

And yes! Choice B speaks of dinner.

a bit confused on B. so friday it both the official and CE gathering and some dinner later at night? and monday is the for fun gathering? please correct me so i know for sure
