how bad are the lines on friday at 8 am for just picking up a pre reg badge and for buying one?

From my experience, for pre-reg it shouldn't be longer than half an hour. Buying one might be longer, maybe an hour I'm guessing...
At least it's nowhere like line cons like Anime Boston (last year) where the wait is like 8+ hours, the reg staff keeps everything smooth

It usually doesn't take long, to me it took me about 15 or 30 minutes to get my badge a couple of years ago now I just go to day 0 for it.

Keep in mind that reg team has stream lined the process assuming that you pay attention to staff and/or signs that are posted.

there will be to sides:  [assuming Friday morning 8am ish open - lines may and will probably start earlier :P]

Pre-Reg and Early Reg [ Last year (2008) was to the left ]
- MUST have proper ID Ready
- MUST have e-post card ready

At Con Reg [ Last Year (2008) was on the right ]
- MUST Log in at Computer onsite
- MUST have payment ready [ cash / charge ]
- MUST HAVE ID Ready

otherwise, im sure Ewu and Reg staff will clarify as we near the Con's opening for general Friday morning.
just understand these things take time and dealers and artist alley probably wont be open til 2/3/4pm -ish anyway. :P

its Here, next year we reccomend pre reg for a reason [2010]. now with day/night zero, there is more to enjoy! :)
