I have a new pet peeve, my cable has gone out and I don't know how to fix it. I looked at troubleshooting suggestions but they don't work, now I have to wait until tomorrow to call to schedule for a technician. I want to watch TV now!!

Are you getting no channels at all, or only some of them (say, 2-38)?  If the latter and you're on Comcast, you'll need a Digital Transport Adapter (their fancy way of saying "digital cable box") to get expanded cable since they made channels above 38 (or thereabouts) digital rather than analog.  Kinda like the digital switchover for over-the-air broadcasts, except you have to get the digital boxes from Comcast rather than from a store.

Students who don't appreciate how much education they are lucky to get. That and really, really stupid classmates. In US History we had to read barely 3 pages of reading and this girl said it was "too hard" to do.

Trying to find a decent Halloween costume.  It seems like 90% of women's halloween costumes are designed to make it look like there's a dangerous shortage of fabric in this country.  Add onto that the fact that I'm...shall we say "busty" and finding a decent costume that covers all my bits is basically impossible.  I don't want to wear my cosplay again this year, it sucks to spend the whole night explaining who you are dressed as.  Sigh...thank goodness I still have close to a month 'till I need to costume.

^Agreed, people who hate their job, refuses to help out and create drama in the work space. If they don't like their job they might as well quit and give it to people who deserves it.

^Agreed, people who hate their job, refuses to help out and create drama in the work space. If they don't like their job they might as well quit and give it to people who deserves it.

Pet Peeve #1: Working with people who do not give a damn about their job. They do not carry their own weight, so you are forced to pick up the slack. If you bring it up to your manager, you get ousted for not being a team player.

Pet Peeve #2: Everyone is assigned an hour for supporting incoming issues. If you miss taking ownership on anything from your hour, you get reemed. If you find that a co-worker missed taking ownership of an item from their hour and you attempt to help them by giving them ownership, they go off on you and somehow get your manager on their side because they just so happen to be all "buddy/buddy" with eachother.

Pet Peeve #3: Being late 3 times in 3 months for traffic related incidents, because you live 30 minutes from work and any little accident can really screw things up... YET, you still get written up, even though you called in ahead stating that you were stuck in traffic...and some of co-workers confirmed there was bad traffic. But the other person the manager likes can be late all the time, when they live 5 minutes from work...and nobody gives a crap.

Pet Peeve #4: Having a boss who is racist against anyone who is not within her own ethnicity range....especially against white people.

Pet Peeve #5: A new position opens up just above yours. All of your co-workers congratulate you because they see nobody else who management would want to promote over you, because you've been working your ass off and you help everyone. After some deliberation management calls you into their office. You are stoked because to your knowledge they only do this to the person who is getting the promotion.

Management: We called you in here to tell you that we made a decision on the open position.......and it's not going to be you.
*Face goes white*

Pet Peeve #6: They proceed to explain how they just promoted another guy instead of you. One who is known to not be very bright and not do his job the way it should be done. Everyone in the department he was promoted to does not want him there because he is slow and will just be a pain in the ass to teach things to. Things he should already know.....

Pet Peeve #7: After a short conversation, Management asks if you have any questions or concerns. You proceed to state how you can understand why they promoted the other person, because he had seniority.....but how it is embarassing because everyone you work with had been telling you that you would get the position. The female racist manager then states, "Lifes a bitch. Get over it." The other female manager's jaw drops and her face goes white.... After she recovers, she interrupts and tries to salvage the conversation. You want to go off on the one and then quit, but you somehow remain calm.

Pet Peeve #8: You only finally got your promotion after two other people less qualified and experienced than you got it.....and that's only because you were lucky and one of them quit, because they had no clue what they were doing in the harder position.

Pet Peeve #9: Your only key to further promotion out from under this manager, is by approval of this person. BUT, they favor one of the crappy employees with a bad attitude and bad work ethic, because they are friends.... So there is no chance in hell that you'll get promoted any time soon. You try to be nice to these two people and you go above and beyond in your work...but for some reason they do not seem to like you.

Pet Peeve #10: Having tons of ideas to increase efficiency in the work place, but having every single one shot down by the manager.

Pet Peeve #11: Having some of your ideas to increase efficiency stolen by the manager and claimed for their own, but only done in a half-assed manner.

Pet Peeve #12: Not being able to find a better job.

Seriously, when people say indonesia when they actually mean India. It gets to me that they still do this after being corrected. Just like when you tell them australia and austria are two different places.

People who don't take responsibility for their mistakes.

ex- KC was a MESS because the hotel was FAR too tiny. someone said " Logistics was attracted by the shiny new Hotel and advertisements" so no one is really to blame.
Uum YES that would make it logistics fault. Admit it, accept the consequences and learn from it.
But that wont happen because hey, they're only human and humans NEVER makes mistakes and we sure as hell don't accept consequences for them.

I'm in a triple in a double-sized room... and me and my other roomie were trying to sleep while my third roomie, who was watching episodes online all day, decides to do homework with ALL the lights on until 3 or 4 in the morning. WTF. =.=;
