Boom Box Policy

I know in some cons they ban the use of boom boxes. I was wondering if boomboxes are allowed in the con or not. I usually bring my boombox to cons for photoshoots.

As far as I know they arent, there was an epic break dancing ring last year between the stairs leading to the fountains. I also seen a few people walking around with them on their shoulder. I think as long as you keep the tracks playing within reason ie. no gangstalicioius rap or anything with a bunch of vulgarities/cussing it should be fine.

In the past Fanime Cons I have attended there were a couple of people carrying their boom boxes. I even saw one attendee with a

boom back pack ???, As long as you keep the sound level to a medium then it should be alright.

Keep it down and don't plug it in. If you become a nuisance or start blocking the walkways then you will be asked to either turn it off or leave.

Thanks guys. I only play music on the photo shoots I attended. Most of it is based on the series of the photoshoot. For example, on the Capcom vs. SNK shoots I always play music from Street Fighter, the King of Fighters, and any Capcom or SNK music.

Last year I had a Boom Box for a back pack, lol.

Walked around the con playing Anime OST's and played songs for people who asked. ^_^
