Never hurts to ask, right? I'm desperate to go with a group from Sacramento or the NorCal area. Anyone interested? I'm an adult, I'm easy to get along with. I'd be willing to help pay for travel, room, and food. I'd prefer to go with a group of girls or girls and guys. Oh and I shower. Did I mention I shower every day? ^^;

as to be the 'big brother rover' here---  again choose new carpool friends wisely & cautiously.

there should be plenty of mass transit options from the Sac area down into the San Jose area.

I think even last year you should be able to get to the Diridon Station in Downtown SJ [by the HP Pavillion - GO SHARKS! ] you can easily take buses to the SJ Convention center.

and yes, Echo♔ I really appreciate girls [or anyone for that matter] who shower on a regular basis.

Amtrak's another option. The Capitol Corridor runs from Sacramento to Didiron station, then take light rail the rest of the way to the con. Or just walk it, it's that close.

I don't know what your schedule is like - I'd have to ask my friend who's going with me (two girls), but we're going to leave around 2pm Friday and come home late night Saturday/wee hours Sunday. I dunno how she'd feel about rooming, but driving there and back with you would be no biggie. I'll confirm with her, though...

Edit: I spoke with her - she's not comfortable rooming (though you probably wouldn't be either), but if you want to come and go at the same time as us you're welcome to come along. We're two women who also bathe regularly, 22 and 23, and we promise not to stalk you or be otherwise creepy. :D
