The hair dryer is in the closet for future reference, was looking for it all weekend and then bam I found it in the closet. I think it should have been in the bathroom but alright.

Odd, mine wasn't. It was already in the bathroom.

Personally I wasn't too fond of Marriot. The bathroom doesn't lock since its just a sliding door, and let's just say there was too many walk-ins that it was ridiculous. There seriously wasn't enough towels either.

I crashed at the Hilton one night, and it's almost like the Marriot, but the bathrooms lock and you don't need to ask for a fridge from what I know.

Then I also went by the Crowne Plaza, and damn, now THOSE rooms were big and nice. But the walking distance was meh.

So overall, next year I think I'd rather stay at the Hilton. And hopefully in Fanime 2011 the suites may be available also (though it'll kill my budget, even if I barely went shopping this Fanime).

I love my Piggie! :D

Nope, a fridge is part of the standard package, and was our dealbreaker between Marriott and Hilton. :) We kept some drinkstuff in there mostly..water and juice, and leftovers from dinner Friday (that we sadly did not eat..no way to reheat the cheezburger, alas!!).

Everything was great, but we DID get a bit of a startle on Sunday when we found a bill under our door...we were scheduled until Monday and the bill had us Thursday to Sunday with a rate of 115/night (we'd booked through the travel folks and got the 83/night room).  Turns out, they gave us the bill to the room next door XD DOH!!

I do know folks who like the Marriott a lot though...not to mention, it's closer in walking distance to the places where there are food things.

Hmmm maybe it was just our room? Although I think another friend of mine complained of the same problem with having the hair dryer hidden in an odd place. Hotel tradition? lmao  :D

I'm used to staying at the Marriott, and this year while staying at the Fairmont, the first place I looked for the hair dryer was in the closet, haha.

Though, the Fairmont has real hair dryers instead of those little ones attatched to the wall, which is nice.

We alternate betw the Hilton and the Marriott every year, this year we were at the Marriott and managed to get rooms on the 6th floor SWEET esp when since it was a super long wait for the elevators going up and/or down and we could manage 5 flights of stairs).  We also managed to get a fridge for one room (you have to ask for it, not every room has one).  Only problem is that, when hotels reservations first went up a few months back, I asked for and one room, two double beds.  I got a confirmation/reminder email a few weeks ago but did not bother to read it carefully.  When we arrived to check in (on Thursday mind you), turned out there were no more single rooms with 2 double beds available so we had to take an extra room (the only other choice would be to get a room with one king bed and a rollaway for 4 people.  We opted not to try fitting 3 of us in the king bed.)  Other than that, we like staying at the Marriott, and it was nice being closer to the panel rooms.
Life is too important to take seriously.  Seriously.

Our hair dryer was in the closet too.  The closet was open when we came in, though, so I saw it sitting on top of the ironing board right off the bat.

Now getting the TV to recognize a game console... that's a whole 'nother matter.  ::)

Yeah, our hair dryer was also in the closet. I noticed it quickly though because I usually like to inspect the place beforehand. Didn't matter much to me either way, though, since I always pack my own. The ones in hotels seem to take forever to dry my hair for some reason.

I saw the hair dryer there too because I used it before Sunday.
