Real Names?? - Panel Form Question

Hi there!

I'm filling out the panel form, but I would prefer not to have my real name listed in the panel listings. That is, I'd prefer it not say "Lorem ipsum blah blah blah panel description. Run by Sara and Joe."  :-\

Is there an established way to indicate this? For example, should I make a note of it in the notes section of the form? Since I don't want to get volunteer hours for the panel, does it even matter if I use my real name on the form, as long as my email is valid?

This might not seem like a big deal to some people, I know, but it is to me, so I wanted to ask before messing up on the form. I'm sure it's come up before.

First...how did you get the form (I haven't seen it on the site yet)? I see it just updated shortly ago, nmd.

Second, I don't think you have to list your name, period (unless it's new this year).  The past two years, it was just the "outlet/group/organization" that was running the panel, the panel title, and panel description.  

Edit: Just did my first form submission, and yea, I think you have to give your real name.  It's just contact info for the panel organizer, I don't believe it will be listed in the panel directory or program.  I'm not staff or anything, so hopefully one of them will come in and answer for ya soon.

And if they read this ... is Sunday early afternoon not an option, or has it been reserved up already?

Your real name isn't listed anywhere in the booklet or in any kind of published material, unless you include your name in the description.

I've hosted panels for the last three years and they don't include my name. It's mostly for the panel staff (Hi Rina) so they know who to contact. They're good people. After all, they've let me host panels for the last three years despite clearly being INSANE.

Just to confirm - your real name is not listed anywhere on the website, in the program guide, or the schedule. The only time names appear with panels is when they're linked to a GOH, or the panelist puts their own name into the description that they give us for the website and program guide.

We the staff, however, need your real name, because... as I said to one panelist who submitted under the name of 'Sephiroth', I host panels given by real people, not by fictional characters. ;)

It's also helpful if you are a fan panelist hoping to take advantage of the discount offered, since you cannot receive a discount unless I am able to put a name on a discount that matches the name you have on an ID.

Thanks! We went ahead and put our real names on the form (not in the description), but it's good to know that they won't be published to the public. Sorry if this was a weird question to ask. :)
