I'll be photographing at Fanime this year - hope to shoot with a lot of you!

Hi all, I'm Namu and I just started photographing cosplayers about a year ago - I'm an event photographer by trade, and I've been shooting professionally for the last several years. Because this is my first year at Fanime, I don't think I'll be doing a fixed schedule for shoots - I'll just be wandering around the con Friday through Sunday. I'm friends with a lot of Stage Zero staff so I'll be around there a lot, and if you're having trouble finding me, you can check there. My cellphone is 510.200.8787 - feel free to call me or text me at any time during the con to find out where I am or see if I have time to shoot. If I don't answer, it might be bad reception, because I pick up all the time.

One request! I'm 6ft, 250 lbs and I have a short mohawk. That seems to intimidate a lot of cosplayers - but I don't bite! I don't even bark! I'm a really nice guy and I'd love to shoot with all of you that I can, so if you see me, please, please, *please* come up and hit me in the arm or say "Yo, Namu!" or just wave and say "Can we shoot?", even if I'm talking with others. Yes, we can! ¡Sí, se puede! Lo siento, realmente no hablo español, lol. Matawa nihongo, either! OK, maybe just a little bit.

Also, if we've met before, please remind me of your name when you come up - I meet a lot of people and I get names and faces jumbled up a lot. Thanks!

Nope, nothing in particular. I don't know enough anime characters to list ones I'd really like to shoot. What I'd love to shoot are people who worked hard on their costumes and want great photos of them. If you know poses for your character, that's even better, but I don't want to discourage any casual cosplayers either - no matter your own skill level or quality of costume, I'm down to shoot with you. For me, that's what Fanime is about - helping people get great photography for free. I'm not there to make money, just to have fun and get some cool shots.
