So, when do you guys who have gone in the past typically sleep?

... what's sleep? ??? Naw... just kidding. I actually care about my sleep and want at least 5-6 hours per day. I wouldn't be able to function otherwise. Yes there is con adrenaline and all but man when I'm tired... I'm dead tired.

Anyways... about the DSLR dilemma. Fanime in general is pretty safe so just stick with normal rules you'd follow if you were to bring something expensive to any public area. Watch your stuff carefully and don't just leave it lying around. If you have it with you and someone wants to take your picture, either have a friend hold it or if you trust the person who wants to take your picture hold the DSLR.

Glomping is a huge subject of debate.  The general agreement is that glompers should ask first.  However, a few people do tackle glomp without permission.  It's never happened to me, but I've seen it happen to other people.  Just watch the people around you and be prepared to shout a firm "NO!" if you see someone running toward you looking like they intend to glomp you.

Since you've posted I feel confident most of our group will know to watch for someone with expensive equipment and not glomp them.  However, please be aware this will be a HUGE group and not everyone reads the forums. 

I'm so glad your joining us though!  Is that you cosplaying in your avatar?  Cause that looks amazing.

I've updated the list it looks great.  I talk about this gather at work alot.  I'm so proud to be involved with such great people in such a fun gathering.  I think some of my coworkers and students are jealous of us for doing this stuff.   ;)

Zenorith - I'm sorry I don't know how to make that sword.  Have you tried posting in the sewing support area?  You can get some good help there.  Good luck!

Is the game of Naruto chess official?  If so let me know when and where so I can post it in the first post.  I can't take part because I have a lot of events going on.  But I'd love to stop by and cheer on the good guys.  If we don't have enough people (36 required) should we talk to another group and see about setting up a Naruto vs Some other anime chess game?  (Seriously Maybe Naruto vs. One Piece....Ninjas vs. Pirates on the chess board.  lol)

Just 34 days until fanime.  By the time I post again we'll have less then a month to go!  It's crunch time!  Make sure you're working on your cosplays!  Stay healthy!  I'll see y'all soon! ;D

hello everyone. i am all sore from going to the san fran cherry blossom festival and it was awesome. there were a lot of good cosplays and good events going on. the parade was kewl and I had a lot of fun for my first time going. here are the pics and vids of yesterday and I am sooo excited for fanime now!

Sorry for the double post.

FYI the Carameldansen gathering is now scheduled BEFORE our gathering at 11:30.  Sorry to say that means I'll miss it because I'll be running Naruto BINGO.  Please let MisterE know if you'll be joining the Carameldansen group.

How are events looking?

BINGO is done.
Where are we with Freeze Tag?  Do we have a location yet?
Is Chess a go?  Still being debated?
I think lunch is officially off.  Too much going on, I think we'll all break and get food on our own.  Correct me if I'm wrong.
