Yeah I read that one many weeks ago and I was debating about wether i should particpate fanime con or just visit a different convention altogether. ALot has changed and it feels more intimidating to enjoy the con. If this year has any improvements then I MIGHT come back but this might be my last fanime con if my friends also decided NOT to particpate.

I kinda agree, I noticed a growing trend of anime conventions I once visited are now gone. WE almost lost Asahicon due to the pandemic, but there were other wonderful conventions as well I missed. KRAKENcon was one of them. THey treated the artist and dealers hall nicely.

Another was Jtaf...yoaicon....AOD... 

I already know why the Jtaf and aod are gone, and kraken con as well...

I am not sure how the convention venues are treating it more respectful if anyone wanted to host their own con without breaking their own bank wallet and loans!

I mean you guys are going to host a panel about this..right?

Good evening old schoolers!

Sorry I haven't been as promotion heavy with the gathering as in years previous.  All systems are still go!  I've been occupied with some adjustment pains after relocating recently, and trying to get my Fanime panel (Vintage Anime - Name That Year! on Saturday at 10am) buttoned up.

Stickers for gacha have been delivered!

Also wanted to share - with Fanime changing their mask policy recently from required to recommended, as the host, I will be masked while running this gathering, even if outdoors! I picked an outdoor gathering location for access, and also for safety and keeping in mind anyone immunocompromised attending.
