@kane: oh yeah I forgot lol the only place I know that isn't crowded nor has events going on is the wall to the outside of the arcade exit doors closer to the rave entrance. If you exit the arcade doors and turn the corner theres a long stretch of empty wall that leads to the rave entrance, we can meet up along that.

I'm familiar with that spot, though I know that sometimes that people line up there for the Swap Meet or to create the "Hug Me Wall".

I think near that area is good but around 8 is when the rave starts and maybe its smart to meet bellow where Starbucks is since it will be closed and most people would be busy upstairs.

I like that idea. The Starbucks, first floor, near the stairs or something. The first floor is usually not busy at all during the night hours.

Is there any update on when the scedules will be posted?

So, they say that the schedule probably won't be done until the week before, but there will be a paper version given out to everyone upon getting their passes.

Nothing that I have seen yet, but I posted the question of when the schedule will be out. When I hear something, I will post about it here.

I don't know if this has been asked/addressed yet, but does anyone know when the schedule will be posted? Or are we going to have to wait until the day before to figure out what we want to do this year?

@everyone else: What would be a good time to meet up on Friday for everyone? And what would be a good place to meet up at, in your opinion?

I say the same area so we wont get lost. By the Marriott windows and time I say probably around 6 or 7 PM?

I have only one concern about that area for Friday, that being that they may have some panels going on and we might be in the way. Hence another reason for waiting for the schedule, which I hope they post soon. I still think that either the seated area in the con area near the Marriott or the area where the Maid Cafe is during the day would be a good spot to meet up on Friday.

Also, if it ends up being that we can't figure it all out before the con, I know that I will still post an update to the meet up while at the con, if we need to do that.

An official time for Friday, let alone a location, has not been set yet, since some of us are waiting for the con schedule to be posted, but some of us were thinking to meet up around 8 or 9pm Friday night.

Sadly, I won't be able to make it to con until Friday night :[ Around 8 or 9 because of the travel. I would love to go sooner but game companies don't work that way D: especially after a lot of people got laid off. ><

That's why we are planning to have meet ups on other days as well. You should join us for one of the other meet ups.

We should get a minimal head count for the Thursday 8pm dinner meet up as well. That way we know who we are still waiting for for the meet up.

Yay! I have others that understand where I am coming from. Everyone here thinks its werid that I don't drink now that I am 21.

I get made fun of for not drinking around my friends as well. It's just how some people are. So yeah, I wouldn't worry about a lot of us, a lot of us seem to be just like you and not drink.

IDK about happy hour. I just turned 21 and I am still not much of a drinker so I might pull out if you guys decided to do this. Sorry, I just don't really like the taste. :-\

And about the storing stuff in your room... that would be awesome!! I will just have to see if my friend, who I bringing to the con Friday, Saturday and Sunday, is cool with the idea of walking to and from the Lightrail station at different hours, which I am sure he won't mind.

I know you are staying with other people, saw an earlier post about you saying that the people you are rooming with want you to check in with them around 11. But, yeah, it's fine with me. I find con goers are good people. Haven't met any that weren't nice. :)

I get on lightrail at the Branham stop and take the northbound one. I've taken it every year, and it's cool to see a lightrail car full of con-goers and cosplayers, haha.

I've been thinking about doing this at times. Would save on the gas and the price for parking. The only downside to it though is if I buy something, I wouldn't have a place to take it.

~Friday at 9pm (this one is still being determined, but I am certain of the time but not the location)

Not officially. But I'm sure a lot of us would be okay with another meet up on Saturday. I know I wouldn't mind. Just hope I'm not to tired after all my other meet ups that day. :)

I'll have to look into the shuttle. I am so not from the area so I was just planning on winging it when I got down there. That's probably a bad thing to do but I don't know.

If I was in town when you arrived at the airport, I'd give you a ride to your hotel. But since I will probably be in SF at that time, I won't be able to.

Well, since we are talking about what we are doing on Thursday before the meet up...

Once I finish up with my class and take the train back to SJ, I will be walking over to the hall, picking up my pass, then going to the meeting area, unless it's too early, in which case I will go and get some food, probably from La Victoria just down San Carlos. So if you end up seeing a guy eating a burrito on Thursday, then that will probably be me. Haha

I MIGHT be in somewhat in my Sebastian one cause I gotta make sure a Ciel girl finds me beforehand. Might come with her or come alone in casual clothing. Either way I'll be there :)


so are we confirmed for those big windows in the hallway at the Marriott?

I think we are a go for the 8pm meeting at the second floor windows of the Marriott on Thursday. And I think we can just sit and chat for like an hour or so, so the stragglers can still meet up with us, those who said they can't get there until 8:30 or 9pm.

As for a second meet up on Friday, we may have to figure out another time and location, if they have panels going on on Friday that is.
