The Xbox 360 in my home makes a loud noise when it plays games. I can hear the noise all the way in here in opposite rooms.

1.What is causing the noise?
2.What can we do to stop it? (its so loud).
3.My brother might invest in a cooling fan thing for the 360. Would that help?

nah, not yet. it would really suck having to relive the same day over and over again....especially if that day was of you satnding in line for 12 hours in the cold trying to get a PS3 but you never did. now THAT would be hell living that moment over and over.

'..without gettign stuck at the border?' where are ya, in canada? all jokes aside, typically, if you can try and anticipate this, have some sort of backup plan ready. hopefully, you won't get stuck at the border.

yea, thats another way to desribe this thread; Dr.O, trapped inside of a giant Magic 8 Ball. just don't shake me too much....

a "Let mDuo13 Predict Your Future" thread is somewhat similar in comparison. but you would be telling people their future, not answering their everyday questions. but depending on the outcome, it might just look like a spinoff thread. not trying to put your idea down in any way, but if you really wanna go ahead with it, then give it a shot.

well, seeing as how ther are now 3 new answer threads, one of them being more original than the other two, im not sure. i'll just let the 19 pages of weird, serious, and sometimes downright scary questions, and answers  speak for themselves.

1. those that were in the fanichat when i responded to this already know. for those of you who weren't, i have never had sushi before, so i really don't know how it tastes. for the time being, i'm gonna say no.

3. my HALF-birthday?! what in the name of Cap'n Crunch is a half-birthday?!...*checks wikipedia*...ohh, so that's what it is. now that i know what a half-birthday is, it would be sometime in august, probably the 25th i guess.

1. yea, im sure. one of the main reasons the XBOX360 is so loud is due in part to its hardware. i don't exactly remember its system specs, but it runs off of a "3 core CPU" system, which can get very hot very quickly. it needs powerful fans to cool it down.

there are two things about the 360 not many people know. when you are playing a game you downloaded from XBLA(xbox live arcade), like geometry wars: retro evolved, its only running on one of the three cores, so the noise is greatly, and i mean GREATLY reduced since only one fan is needed to cool it down, and its not running at high speed; same thing applies when watching a DVD, i think. this changes as soon as you pop in a game, for example Gears of War or Sonic. all of the cores are running at this point, which requires both fans to keep the system cooled. this is what causes the noise in your 360. so don't start thinkin your console is broken or something.

2.yes, i have heard the noise at work. it mostly got drowned out by all sound from the tvs though, so it wasnt a big deal for me, lol.

the offer only applies to those that do not know the answer. those that just want the string even though they know the answer would end up going through coustomer service/tech support, and they can rack up your phone bill by putting you on hold for what seems like an eternity.

I don't really want to take this from Otaku, but here's what I think in order.

- I have no idea.

- Oh yeah.

- Wii Browser, Gunstar Heroes, Super Star Soldier, Bonk's Adventure.

- Huh?

- A Wi-Fi hot spot is just a place where someone can connect to the internet without worrying about cost.

- Lemme check...Nope. Wi-Fi is 4 MAX. Single or Multi-Card is 8 MAX.

- Maybe, maybe not.

- Here's hoping it doesn't happen.

- No clue. I'm not placing any bets either.
