I'm reminded why I like Lelouch as a character.  Unlike most people, it's not because he's the cool and intelligent anti-hero.  Although that certainly helps.  It's because, deep down, he's just a guy with an enormous sister complex.

Re R2 E9:

I'm starting to believe that Lelouch is becoming much too arrogant in his actions. Understandingly taking over the government though those means at the end can create more opportunities for Japan, but the tension of the Chinese Federation itself combined with Britainnia's forces means for a double culture war, with limited strategy. Given How Schniezel can now read Zero's heart in his actions, I can't help but think this is headed for a downward spiral. This episode really jump-started my disdain for Lelouch's new philosophy/strategy.

No, in one of the previous episodes Tian Ze did converse with Kaguya for a brief minute or two, something like episode 5, when Zero "accepts" Governor Nunally's proposition.
