i'm taking my car and driving there from the east bay. i would be taking my two roomies with me, but Hihio Zabimaru is a fatty and will be taking up the entire back seat (as i don't want it getting damage kickin' it in the trunk). yay for Hondas! 8D lol

We're carpooling too, like usual, since San Jose is really close. I can't drive yet, but my mom's always willing to drive me and my friends to Fanime. I just hope there will be enough room for props and stuff in the car... My friend is going as Seras Victoria from Hellsing, and she's got the HUGE gun... That's probably gonna take up some space.

Sometimes we stop by somewhere on the way to get something to eat, and we're all in cosplay so its pretty fun seeing people's reactions to what we're wearing. xD

Sometimes we stop by somewhere on the way to get something to eat, and we're all in cosplay so its pretty fun seeing people's reactions to what we're wearing. xD

cosplay out in public outside of the convention setting is so much fun to do XD its hilarious getting WTF stares from people. last year after yaoi con my friend and i went to go get pizza. i had changed out of my Ulquiorra cosplay, but i still had the full on makeup and contacts on. there was some like little league thingy going on at the place we ate at, and i kept getting stares from the 8 yr old kids. it was funny catching them staring at me and them act like they were never looking at me in the first place XD

Yep yep yep. I hot-glued the hilt so that it does not move around, and the place where you actually hold the sword (is that still called the hilt(?), now has the blue diamond pattern on it. Yay! \^.^/

Midnightrosebud is right, driving is fun when I'm with all my friends. the only down side is people touching my cd player when I'm listening to a song I like, or when they change it every sec. when I like the song that was on. But I won't have to worry about that this year. Midnightrosebud will be on the passangers side, so that doesn't happen to me.

My friends and I did that once when we left the Renaissance Faire and got lost on the way home. We stopped at a Taco Bell, and a mother and her two daughter's were staring at us. (We were a maiden, a jester, and a gypsy; not that off the wall, but still....=D)

I agree. xD Wow, its too bad you weren't Ulqui while going out for Taco Bell or something. xD I think we stopped at a Jack in the Box this one morning, and I was in my Sailor Jupiter cosplay... Which is mostly white, so I had to make sure not to stain anything before I even got to the Convention Center. Needless to say though I got some stares... Heheh.

o.o;  i... er.. if i had the few dollars to spare to go and buy some rope i'd make a pair, but like everything else i had to cheap out and just glued some old rope to the edges of a pair of flip-flops and over the toe-strap-thing. hopefully i'll get soem more money in the next few days and might still do it, or run over to japantown and look for a cheap pair somewhere.
