I'm sure it has been asked before but what are the CvS2 match ups set up?

3-on-3
or
Ratio Match?

I talked to my roommate and it turns out we have CvS2 and street fighter anniversary edition for ps2.
if the 3s on anniversary is the same as the game by itself, then we can run these games on ps2. :)  and for the sticks, we'll see what we have.

Anniversary 3S is really good.

all we need is sticks then. =D

... Are you serious? No one plays 3-on-3. Tournaments are ran as close to arcade style as possible.

JTchinoy

wtf he talking bout? ???
not a cvs player.

Jeez, didn't need the total 3rd degree there. I was just asking an honest question about something I was completely unsure of.

bahamutknightzero

JT: 3-on-3 Mode is where the players pick three characters, without the restrictions of selecting ratios for the characters

Ratio Mode is what the arcade game is like where you have to pick a ratio for your characters (where it allows the players to have either 1, 2, or 3 characters, depending on how you have your ratios set up).

JTchinoy

then it's ratio.
you have up to a value of 4 split among between 1-3 chars right? that's the norm and that's what we're doing.

Yeah, that's the norm. You're in norcal and don't know CvS2 rules? (just kidding)

you convinced him it'll be ps2?
he doesn't listen to me at all -_-

I'll have my Tekken 5 stick around if anyone needs to use it for a while.

bahamutknightzero

Yay for PS2 CvS2 and (hopefull) SF3 3rd Strike (might be interested in this tourney too)

PyronIkari

I'd let people use my stick... but no. To be honest, I don't trust Fanime people with a 165$ custom JP stick from a shop that doesn't import them. Though if you wanna use it JT you can.

JTchinoy

meh, i don't wanna kill anyone in tekken. :P  i'm just going to challenge the winner to a friendly set after. :)
thanks for the offer though.
problem with tekken is we have no pelican converters.  VERY problematic.

Play on pad, you only need to hold back and hit d/f2 anyways.

#238
that's true. jack works that way as well.

edit::
bronson is lending me 1 pelican converter, so 1 ps3 will be able to do tekken stick matches.

I've played GG^C, but not GG^C+. I'm guessing it's also for PS2 and not an arcade cabinet?

If anyone knows any differences between the US version of GG^C and GG^C+, I'd really appreciate hearing it. Thanks!
